Takami no Sato, nestled deep in the mountains of Nara Prefecture’s Higashiyoshino region, is one of Kansai’s most spectacular cherry blossom destinations, where a thousand weeping cherry trees blanket the mountainside in full view. Nearby Yoshino has long been revered as a sacred land of cherry blossoms, even celebrated in Japan’s oldest poetry anthology, the Manyoshu (“Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves”). The spring scenery admired by poets more than a millennium ago still lives on today.
On this tour, you will view the blossoms in full bloom from a special observation area reserved exclusively for our guests—an area normally closed to the general public.
Tour dates are limited to just three days of the year, carefully scheduled to coincide with the peak of the blossoms. In addition to comfortable private transportation departing from Osaka, guests will be served special hot oden and their choice of sake or a soft drink at the summit.
